Manufactured in 1871, the first year of production, this is an excellent example of a Colt Open Top Pocket revolver. The presence of British proofs on the cylinder and barrel, as well as the included London Agency labeled oak case indicate this revolver shipped to Britain. It has the standard Colt markings along with the British proofs, and the matching serial number is on the butt, bottom of the barrel, and inside both grip panels in ink. The back strap is non-factory stamped "K 66". It has standard features and is fitted with a pair of smooth rosewood grips. Provenance: The Charles Marx Collection
