Grouping of European Aviation Badges and Memorabilia, Chiefly World War I Era

Grouping includes two Austro-Hungarian Army Field Pilot Badges (one with Franz Joseph I cipher, one with Karl cipher), Europa-Union badge, memorial medal for "The Red Baron" Manfred von Richthofen, Russian pilot badge, brass eagle badge, two monoplane-themed commemorative pins, a lapel button featuring a Franco-Prussian War era Iron Cross, and a gold and white enamel themed pin with a Luftwaffe-style eagle over an Iron Cross. Provenance: The Putnam Green/Sycamore Collection

ConditionFine or better overall, with some damage to the latch on one of the monoplane pins, aged patina on the metal, and strong enamel. The Luftwaffe-themed pin may have been "de-nazified" post-World War II, with a swastika removed and an Iron Cross installed in its place.
