Originally manufactured in 1962, this Colt Single Action Army was subsequently very attractively custom embellished with near full coverage engraving cut through the original finish, which is signed "ENG./M.E.G./'96" on the right of the grip frame. The engraving is near full coverage featuring extensive floral scroll with a punchdot and stippled background, as well as various western motifs scattered throughout, including a cowboy, tepees, an Indian Police badge, a U.S. Marshal badge, and a wagon train. The top of the barrel is marked with the standard one-line address, while the left of the barrel has the model and caliber marking. The left side of the frame has the standard two-line address followed by the Rampant Colt. The matching serial number is on the bottom of the frame and the left side of both grip straps. It is fitted with a blade front sight, frame-top groove rear sight, and a pair of attractively antiqued ivory grips with gold Colt medallions at the tops. Provenance: The Charles Marx Collection
