Manufactured in 1969 and subsequently wonderfully embellished by Master Engraver Edward Prudhomme. The rifle was built with no sights on the blued barrel as well as a 2 inch wedge of scroll engraving with gold inlaid accents. The barrel is fitted to the blued action which displays near full coverage scroll engraving which extends to the bolt. The action is mounted with a Weatherby Variable 2 3/4-10x scope in a set of Conetrol rings/bases. The bottom metal displays more of the attractive scroll engraving which surrounds a relief gold inlaid bugling elk on the floorplate and a gold grizzly bear on the trigger guard. The floorplate is signed "E.C.P." as well as E. C. PRUDHOMME". The rifle is fitted with a beautifully figured pistol grip stock with fancy carving in the tightly checkered panels, rosewood forend tip and grip cap with double spacers, raised cheekpiece, provisions for sling swivels, and a Pachmayr White-Line recoil pad. Included with the lot is a copy of Prudhomme's book "Gun Engraving Review".
