Manufactured c.1979-1986. Marketed to law enforcement and foreign military clients, the AC-556 is essentially a Mini-14 rifle configured as a factory original selective fire machine gun. Features fixed blade front and adjustable peep rear sights, with a bird cage flash hider on the barrel without a bayonet lug. Standard markings on the receiver, with the safety lever set into the front of the trigger guard and a three-position selector switch (semi/3-round burst/full) on the right side of the receiver heel. The hardwood stock is fitted with a plastic upper handguard and pistol grip, and a side folding steel buttstock. Included with the lot is a Ciener "Hohrein" pattern 22 LR conversion kit, eight magazines for the 22 kit (four Ciener/Hohrein metal mags, four Black Dog plastic mags), threading adapter, black nylon sling, and a matching numbered factory box.
