Manufactured in 1917, this rifle has been beautifully upgraded with custom engraving and has elaborate carving on the forearm and stock. The barrel and half magazine are blue; remaining metal parts are casehardened. The muzzle has a single gold band around it. There are two bands at the breech with small wedges of scroll engraving and a gold band around the magazine cap. The sides of the receiver are floral scroll engraved with a punch dot background and simple gold wire border. In addition, the left side has a wooded scene in the center with three gold inlaid elk; one bull and two cows. The scene is bordered with a gold wire. The right side has a resting mountain goat with gold wire border above the loading gate and big horn sheep in front of the loading gate. There is gold wire border around the loading gate also. The bottom of the receiver has a gold moose head in an oval panel with a gold wire border. There is a gold wire border on the front sides of the lever, around the outer edge of the upper tang and on the sides of the hammer. The sides of the hammer, front portion of the lever and receiver ring are also engraved. The fancy forearm and wrist are beautifully carved in a floral vine pattern with a heart shape on each side at the receiver end of the forearm and the wrist. The front sight is a ramped blade with a gold bead, adjustable semi buckhorn rear sight and the stock is fitted with a black checkered hard rubber buttplate with the Winchester logo.

Near mint as professionally custom embellished with all of the current finishes remaining. Only the slightest handling marks overall.
