Manufactured between 1893 and 1936 with a German silver blade front sight. The rear barrel sight has been removed and a Marbles filler block has been installed. It has been equipped with a Marble's tang peep sight. Two line address/patent date marking on the top barrel flat ahead of the rear sight "SPECIAL SMOKELESS STEEL" on the left rear flat and "MARLIN SAFETY" on top of the receiver. Casehardened receiver, hammer, lever and buttplate, blue barrel and magazine. Full tubular magazine and checkered forearm with steel end cap and straight grip stock with a steel crescent buttplate.

Professionally refinished with almost all of the blue and casehardening finishes remaining. Light scratches on the receiver. The wood is near mint crisp checkering with a few overall scattered minor dings and pressure dents. Markings are clear and the action is excellent.
