Made in 1903. Fitted with a white bead dovetail blade front sight in a raised block, a block in the rear sight dovetail slot and a Lyman adjustable peep sight on the left side of the receiver. The left side of the scalloped receiver is marked with the two-line Winchester address and patent dates. The lower receiver tang is marked with the serial number and the upper tang has the "WINCHESTER/ MODEL 1895" marking. Smooth straight grip stock with ebony insert Schnabel tip forearm and crescent steel buttplate.
