This is just an excellent example of a super RARE H&K MSG90 Precision Sniper rifle. These are really some of the few, regular production precision sniping rifles on the world market today, as most are made on a specialized line on a single gun basis. These rifles were produced in Germany and imported by the H&K's subsidiary in Sterling, Virginia. This current MSG90 Series of sniper rifle was produced after the earlier PSG1 rifle and incorporated several further improvements in the reduction of the weight, durability, accuracy and produceability of the rifle. These improvements are: 1) a special slim contour, muzzle heavy, hammer forged barrel, 2) the sides of the receiver have had a heavy reinforcing bar welded on each side (by the H&K factory) to strengthen the receiver and prevent twisting during firing, 3) special all plastic lower trigger housing, 4) an improved 91 style buttstock, with a raised cheek piece, similar to the earlier G3SG1 Sniper rifles 5) the excellent factory installed match trigger with a crisp 1 or 2 lb pull, 6) the special all plastic hand guard that free floats the barrel, with a target rail on the underside so that a folding bipod can be used 7) a forward assist mechanism to ensure the bolt is fully locked into the receiver due to the tight tolerances and 8) an improved matching "10 X 42" Hensoldt sniper scope with a duplex reticule with the bullet drop compensating elevation knobs, mounted in an H&K roll-on scope base. The left side of the magazine well is marked "MSG90 45-0038" (the serial number indicating this was the 38th rifle made) over HK Cal. 7.62X51mm (308 Winchester) over the German firing proof with the date code of "IK". The right side is marked "Made in Germany/ HK Inc., Sterling Va.. This rifle is complete with Galati International sniper drag bag, a black nylon sling, one five round and two 20 round magazines, the instruction manual and a folding Harris bipod.

Excellent overall with 98-99% of the original finish remaining. The rifle does show signs of firing but a very minimal level. The plastic buttstock, forend and pistol grip are all in excellent condition and the rifle scope retains 99% of it original finish and the optics are crystal clear. Just a super nice near mint rig that is just waiting to go the rifle range!!!
