Barrett Firearms was the leader in developing .50 cal sniper rifles for the U.S. military in the early to mid 1980's. This model was an attempt to produce a shorter, bolt action, box fed version of the famous M82/84 semi-automatic rifles. This rifle features a two-piece upper receiver with a welded steel receiver insert that holds the locking lugs and the breech-end of the barrel. The rifle itself is a bull-pup configuration that is fitted with a 29 inch fluted barrel which helped reduce the overall length and weight. The top of the receiver has a 6 inch welded on factory scope base with a "Picatinny" style scope rail/base screwed on top. The rifle has been fitted with a Leupold Ultra Mark 4 16X telescope with the standard cross hairs and Leupold dot in the center. It has an M60 type folding bi-pod, muzzle brake, and black recoil pad and is complete with one original magazine. Weight is about 25 lbs.

Excellent overall with 98% of the original parkerized finish overall that shows minor edge wear overall with light firing. The optics are crystal clear and the windage and elevation knobs mover freely.
