FN FAL with standard barrel, walnut stock and forearm and grenade launcher front sight and flash-hider. This is one of the 1836 "G" series FN FAL with Type I receiver imported in the early 1960's. Black phosphate finish with bright bolt. The hand guard and carrying handle are black plastic. The upper receiver rail is marked; "F.A.L.cal.7.62 G1955". The lower receiver is numbered "955" behind the take down lever. The underside of the lower receiver is numbered "G1955" ahead of the magazine well. The right receiver rail is marked: "FABRIQUE NATIONAL D'ARMES DE GUERRE-HERSTAL BELGIQUE" in one line.

Excellent. The rifle retains at least 97% of the original black phosphate finish. The European walnut stock and hand guard are in excellent condition with a few scattered, minor storage marks. Markings are crisp. An excellent example of one of the best and most widely issued military semi-automatic rifles.
