Description:

This Remington revolver has the Model 1875 body with exception of the ejector housing, which is the Webless style used on the Model 1890. The most logical explanation is that it is one that was produced in 1888 and 1889. which are believed to have been made for Hartley and Graham and sold as the "New Model Pocket Army". This model was the source of confusion and dispute, and was believed by some to be a fabrication until the discovery of a vintage H&G catalog that illustrated it. The top of the barrel is marked "E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION. N.Y. U.S.A." and "44" on the left side of the trigger guard. The serial number is marked on the left side of the frame under the left grip panel. The grips are smooth walnut.

Rating Definition:

Very good, with 60% of the original nickel finish, showing a smooth dark brown patina on the exposed steel, along with some light dings and spotting. Grips are about good, with chipping and rounding of the right toe and moderate pressure dents. Action is fine.
