Manufactured circa 1884-1895. Half moon front and notch rear sight ahead of the latch, checkered backstrap grip safety and 5-round auto ejecting cylinder. Standard two line address/ patent dates on top of the solid fluted barrel rib with "+38 S&W CTG+" marked on the left side of the barrel and S&W logo on the right side of the frame. Nickel with casehardened trigger and blue trigger guard and pushbutton latch. Fitted with two-piece smooth pearl grips.

Excellent with approximately 95-97% of the original nickel finish remaining with some minor scratches and some extremely light flaking with a minor area of flaking on the cylinder. The grips are also excellent with some light handling marks. The revolver retains vivid and bright case color and virtually all of the blue finish with the faint beginnings of a smooth silver patina on the trigger guard. The markings are clear and crisp.
