Manufactured in 1905, this Model 1894 Deluxe Sporting Rifle is equipped with a special order half octagon barrel, a Sheared front blade sight with brass bead, a Charles Daniels adjustable rear globe sight and a Lyman tang mounted peep sight. Takedown action with half length magazine tube and mounted with an extra fancy checkered walnut forearm with steel forend cap and pistol grip stock with hard rubber Winchester grip cap and steel checkered shotgun buttplate. The top barrel flat is marked with the two line address/patent dates, the left rear flat has the nickel steel marking behind the rear sight is marked with the Winchester oval proof followed by "32 W.S.". The oval proof also appears on the top of the receiver ring. The three line upper tang marking and the serial number are marked on the bottom of the frame. The included factory letter confirms the serial number, caliber, half octagon barrel, plain trigger, half length magazine tube, checkered pistol grip stock and shotgun butt, with a rubber buttplate. The letter states that the rifle was received in the warehouse on August 20, 1907 and shipped the next day.
