Standard two line barrel address/King's patent dates marking, "MODEL 1873" on the upper tang and serial number on the lower tang. The lever latch has the visible threads often seen on earlier First Models. Round barrel, blade front sight, adjustable sporting rear sight, button magazine and mounted with a plain straight grip stock with steel forend cap and crescent butt with sliding brass trap door.

Rating Definition:

Refinished. The metal surfaces have a smooth refinished brown patina overall with gray patina on the high edges and a smooth dark patina present in the lower and protected areas. The lightly sanded and refinished wood has mild handling marks and filled heavier handling marks. The forearm has a hairline crack (likely a repair). The buttplate is slightly oversized. Mechanically fine.
