Barrel has the two line smokeless powder marking ahead of the spurious caliber marking, "405 W.C.F.". Standard two line New Haven address/patent dates on the left side of the receiver and three line model designation/trademark marking on the upper tang. Plain Schnabel forearm with ebony insert and straight grip stock with the rarely seen shotgun style buttplate.

Good as rechambered to 405 WCF with the caliber marking restamped. The barrel retains traces of the original blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. The rest of the metal surfaces have a smooth gray patina overall with strong traces of blue in the protected areas. The magazine sides have a smooth plum patina. The sanded and refinished wood has some minor dings and scratches. Wrist has a repaired chip near the frame. Mechanically fine.
