This is a late production example of a Winchester Model 1892 Lever Action that was manufactured in 1927. The top of the tang is marked "WINCHESTER / TRADE MARK / MADE IN U.S.A." and the left side of the octagon barrel "-MODEL 92 -WINCHESTER- 32 W.C.F.- / - TRADE MARK-". The right side is marked "MADE IN U.S.A. WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. / -NEW HAVEN CONN." Winchester proof marks on top of the barrel and receiver. Lyman dovetailed brass bead front sight and adjustable semi buckhorn rear. Full magazine and smooth straight grip stock with a crescent steel buttplate and forearm cap.

Fine. The barrel and magazine show about 85% thinning blue with high edge wear. The action, buttplate, lever and nose cap retain approximately half of the blue with the balanced turning a mottled smooth brown. The otherwise fine stock has light to moderate handling marks and has been refreshed with a coat of varnish some time ago. Mechanically excellent.
