Description:

Produced by the Baird Clock Company of Plattsburgh, New York for the Mayo Tobacco Company. Measuring 30 1/2" long, 18 1/2" wide and 4" thick, with a 12" copper bordered paper dial. Hardwood construction. The face is marked "BAIRD CLOCK CO./ PLATTSBURGH, N.Y." below the hands. A small round window in the lower plate allows the pendulum to be seen while swinging. Baird is known for its advertising clocks, having provided for Coca-Cola and the Brooklyn Dodgers.

Rating Definition:

Very good, with some minor loss of paint on the surface. Dial is taking on an antique brown color and a few small stains visible. Not mechanically tested.
