Description:

Entering the market as Ramleh in 1902, the producers reversed the name in 1907 to prevent confusion with the competing "Ramly" brand, and remained active until 1966. Measuring 22 inches wide and 30 inches tall, the print is marked "HELMAR/ TURKISH CIGARETTES" at the top, with the center filled by a lady in a tall straw hat and fringed blouse and a pack of Helmar positioned in the lower right side above the signature of artist Albert H. Sonn (1869-1936) "AHSonn/ 07". Mounted in a dark hardwood frame.

Rating Definition:

Very good, with a few nail holes in the edges, a few small punctures on the printed area, and some mild soiling.
