Manufactured circa late 1980 and shipped from the factory on January 29, 1981. The factory letter verifies the serial number, 6 inch barrel, blue finish, Class C engraving, (Special Engraved Edition) checkered Goncalo Alves target grips and that it was shipped to Faber Brothers Inc., Chicago, IL on the aforementioned dates. Features Class C broad scroll factory engraving that extends to the barrel, frame, cylinder, and trigger guard. It has a serrated ramp blade front and orange outlined square notch target rear sights on a serrated matte solid rib, 6 inch barrel (scarce) with casehardened checkered hammer and grooved trigger, six-shot fluted cylinder, shrouded ejector rod, and smooth Goncalo Alves wrap around grips with Smith & Wesson nickel plated medallion inlays. The right side of the barrel is marked, "44 MAGNUM", with the forward right side of the frame being marked with the standard four line address. The left side of the barrel is marked, "SMITH & WESSON", left of the frame marked with the circular Smith & Wesson logo. Complete with factory letter and mahogany dovetailed display case with brass hardware and a burgundy plush fitted interior.

Near new, with only the slightest handling marks and a very faint drag line at the cylinder. The case is excellent.
