Introduced in 1959. Built on the round-butt 3-screw J frame with a shrouded hammer. Standard markings. Features a serrated ramp front sight. The barrel and cylinder are nickel plated. The frame is blue and the hammer and trigger are casehardened. Walnut Magna grips with S&W medallions and diamonds around the escutcheons. Complete with the original blue two piece cardboard S&W box numbered to gun with cleaning rod, barrel brush, and papers. The end label listed the "pinto" finish as a special feature.

Near new in the original box with 98% plus overall original finish. The frame shows some light scattered surface scratches and high end wear. Vibrant and bright case colors. The cylinder has a very faint drag line. Otherwise like new. The box is very fine with some tape residue and flaking along the sides.
