Description:

Manufactured in 1885. Third Model with the distinctive integral dust cover rail machined to the top of the receiver. Standard two line top barrel flat address/patent date marking ahead of the caliber marking, "32 CAL". Upper tang marked "MODEL 1873", serial number on the lower tang and "32 CAL." on the brass cartridge elevator. Lyman blade front sight, adjustable buckhorn rear sight and full length magazine. Fitted with a set trigger. Mounted on a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with forend cap and crescent buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Refinished. Overall the metal surfaces have a smooth artificial brown patina and a smooth plum patina in the protected areas (mostly on the frame). The magazine tube has some minor dents. The sanded and refinished wood has some minor dings, dents, scratches and gouges. The bolt is missing the extractor with the retaining pin obstructing the bolt from retracting. The markings are clear.
