Late Production Winchester Model 1890 Slide Action Rifle

Produced from 1890 to 1932, this rifle was manufactured in 1929. Features dovetailed blade bead front and adjustable rear v-notch sights on a straight grip smooth American walnut stock with a 12 groove slide handle and crescent steel butt plate. The left side of the barrel is stamped with the standard two line address/patent info and marked, "-MODEL 90.-.22 LONG.".

ConditionFine, with approximately 70% faded original finish on the barrel. There is some minor edge wear and moderate thinning on the workings surfaces, magazine tube and receiver, which have developed a mottled brown patina. The bluing is strongest on the barrel, with the sides of the receiver and magazine turning a smooth gray/brown. There is also some scattered minor nicks and pitting on the barrel, with some moderate oxidation on the butt plate. The stock and forearm are fine with multiple minor pressure dents/scratches (the majority being concentrated on the butt end of the shoulder stock near the butt plate line, with a minor 1/2 inch hairline crack on the toe. The forearm is fine with a few minor nicks and some light varnish flaking. The markings are crisp. Mechanically excellent.
