The Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) was a fraternal organization composed of veterans of the Union Army who had served in the American Civil War and this lot includes various reunion souvenirs from the GAR that include: GAR 53rd encampment representative ladder badge with yellow ribbon; GAR California and Nevada 56th encampment delegate red ribbon with pin; John Drake Sloat, U.S.N, yellow honor ribbon; GAR silver anniversary (1866) blue ribbon (poor condition with heavy fraying); GAR California and Nevada 45th encampment medal; GAR California and Nevada 44th encampment medal with yellow ribbon; GAR 40th encampment ladder badge with ribbon; 46th Woman's Relief Corps convention ribbon (California and Nevada); GAR California and Nevada 37th encampment medal with ribbon; GAR Company I, 17 U.S. Infantry ladder badge; GAR 42nd encampment Pasadena of the Valley medal with ribbon (heavily faded); GAR 1888 dated remembrance ribbon; GAR California and Nevada 54th encampment medal; GAR California and Nevada 43rd encampment delegate ladder badge with ribbon; GAR 45th California and Nevada 45th encampment medal; GAR California Post 34 memorial ribbon with pin; and GAR 20th encampment ribbon.

Unless noted above, all medals and ribbons are very good to very fine with mild to minor discoloration on the ribbons and some light fraying. The medals/badges have a pleasant aged patina.
