Engraved Alexander Henry Damascus Double Barrel Shotgun with Case and Accessories

Single brass bead on a solid concave rib which is marked "ALEXR/. HENRY, EDINBURGH AND LONDON / MAKER TO THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESS THE PRINCE OF WALES AND DUKE OF EDINBURGH". The casehardened action is highly engraved with a tight English scroll pattern overall and both sides are marked "ALEX R HENRY" in banner. The top of the action is marked "HENRY'S No. 106 PATENT" just behind the rib and fences. The shotgun also features an automatic tang mounted safety, double triggers, extractors and blue finished break lever and trigger guard. Mounted with a checkered straight grip stock with silver initial oval, checkered bare butt and a splinter style forearm with an engraved lever release. Length of pull approximately 14". Complete with brown leather case with corner protectors, straps, carry handle and brass latch/lock assembly. The interior of the case is red felt and includes a three piece cleaning rod, brushes, oiler and grease jar.

ConditionExcellent. The barrels retain 90% of the Damascus finish with some fading overall especially near the muzzles. There are also some few minor light dings and scratches. The receiver has aged to a smooth gray and all markings remain crisp and clear. The wood appears to have been freshened at some point and shows some few light nicks and dings overall. Mechanically good. The case is very good with some edge wear overall, more so on the left rear corner with dings and scratches overall.
