Features pinned half-moon front and top latch raised notch rear sights with a 5 shot fluted cylinder, casehardened checkered hammer and trigger, blued trigger guard and fitted with pearl grips. The top of the barrel rib is marked with the standard two line address/patent date information, with the serial number stamped on the bottom of the butt.

Features the 5th model characteristic integral forged front sight and top latch raised notch rear sights with a 5-shot fluted cylinder, casehardened checkered hammer and trigger, blued trigger guard, and pearl grips. The top of the barrel rib is marked with the standard one line address, with the left side of the barrel marked, "38. S. & W. CTG" flanked on both sides by Maltese crosses and the right rear of the frame exhibiting the circular Smith & Wesson logo.
