Dovetailed fixed front and adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sights, full length tube magazine, smooth steel capped forend and straight grip stock with steel crescent buttplate. The top barrel flat has the two line Winchester New Haven address and King's Improvement patent information in front of the rear sight and "22 SHORT" at the breech, and marked "22 CAL/SHORT" on the brass elevator bottom, the model is marked on upper tang and serial number on the lower.

Good, with traces of the blue finish remaining with the balance developing a brown patina overall. Scattered spotting, concentrated on the magazine tube, and minor hammer type marks on the top of the receiver. The dust cover is slightly loose and does not retract when cocking the gun. The forend and stock are very good, with scattered pressure dents and scuffs.
