Description:

Introduced in 1897 the Mark III is a top-break double action revolver and has the large hammer spur. Front blade sight with "V" notch rear mounted on the break lever The top of the barrel is marked "P. WEBLEY & SON LONDON&BIRMINGHAM", the left side is marked "455/476" below the barrel "MARK III" on the left side of the top strap with a proof and "WEBLEY / PATENTS" on the frame below the cylinder. The left side of the frame is marked with the serial number. Mounted with checkered hard rubber birds head grips with lanyard ring.

Rating Definition:

Very good with 80% finish, which has aged to a brown patina with some areas of blue remaining in the protected areas with some minor pitting overall and few areas that show some minor surface rust. The break action lever and ejectors function well and the hard rubber grips are very good with some light handling marks throughout. Mechanically excellent.

Description:

Webley break action revolver with a front ramp blade sight and fixed rear notch sight mounted on the break lever. The left side of the top strap is marked with various proofs with "MARK VI" to the right. The left side of the frame below the cylinder is marked "WEBLEY / MARK VI / PATENTS / 1917". The serial number is marked on the barrel assembly just above the hinge, again on the bottom of the frame just before the trigger guard and on the cylinder. The grips are a checkered hard rubber with a lanyard loop on the butt.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The revolver retains 90% of an arsenal wartime blue finish with some few scattered areas of pitting overall and some minor edge wear. All markings are clear and the break action and ejectors function very well. The hard rubber grips are very good with some overall light handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
