Manufactured from 1896 through the 1930s. The heavy barrel is marked "STEVENS" 'WALNUT HILL'" on the top, "22-LONG RIFLE" on the left side and the two line address marked upside down on the right side. It is numbered "2463" under the forearm. Front sight removed with dovetail slot unplugged and barrel drilled and tapped for sight mounts. Casehardened frame is marked with three line trademark information on the left side and fitted with a replacement lever. The upper tang is drilled for a sight mount. Mounted on a custom nicely figured walnut pistol grip stock with checkered forearm with sling swivel stud and pistol grip, wood grain motif plastic grip cap with checkered wood insert, raised cheekpiece and checkered wood grain motif plastic shotgun style buttplate.

Excellent as customized. The barrel retains approximately 97% original blue finish mixed with the beginnings of a brown patina. The frame and lever retain about 97% of the brilliant case colors. There is a hairline crack near the upper tang and a mild scuff mark near the buttplate, otherwise the custom wood is near mint with scattered mild dings and scratches. Action needs some adjustment (functions, but hammer is tight).
