The 6.5 mm, Type 38 rifle was manufactured by Imperial Japan from 1905 to 1945. The rifle features a blade front with an adjustable ladder type rear and dust cover. The receiver is marked with a chrysanthemum as a symbol of ownership by the Emperor. The bolt, safety, floor plate and bayonet lug are numbered 635 which is the last three of the serial number. All of the metal parts are blue.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The metal retains approximately 85% of the original blue finish with some fading throughout. There are some few minor areas of pitting visible on the receiver and the dust cover. The wood has been freshened and has some chips and gouges that are covered as well as some handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
