Description:

This English pistol features a once niter blue belt clip on the left side of the frame and a spring loaded bayonet attached to the right side of the barrel that is activated by a thumb lever on the frame. The bayonet is fluted, measures 2 1/2 inches and was once niter blue, including the latch. The casehardened frame has a sliding bar safety. The screw on barrel is marked "RYAN AND WATSON, LONDON" on the top flat and three British proofs are in front of the folding trigger. The sides of the frame, safety and bayonet latch are bordered with floral engravings. The walnut grip is almost fully covered with fine checkering and has an octagon thumb plate.

Rating Definition:

Fine as period refurbished. The frame, barrel and hammer retain half of the muted case colors with the balance between a smooth gray and brown patina with numerous fine scratches behind the hammer. The bayonet, bayonet latch and belt clip retain approximately 30% niter blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. There is some scattered light spotting. The grip is very fine with exception of a minor dent and some minor scratches and nicks. Overall the checkering is crisp.
