Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Saddle Ring Carbine

Manufactured in 1899. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line address/1894 patent date ahead of the rear sight, the left rear is marked with the two line nickel steel/smokeless powder marking and "25-35 W.C.F." on top at the breech. The three line maker, model, patent date appear on the upper tang and the serial number on the bottom of the frame. Pinned blade front sight with bead, carbine folding leaf rear sight. Full length magazine tube and saddle ring stud and ring mounted on the left side of the receiver. Blue finish with casehardened lever, trigger and hammer, and mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with carbine buttplate. The carbine is accompanied by a Cody research request letter which verifies the serial number, caliber, carbine configuration and that it was shipped April 24, 1903.

ConditionExcellent. The carbine retains 90% original blue finish with overall scattered thinning and flaking, and high edge wear on the receiver. The buttplate has a smooth mottled brown patina. The hammer retains almost all of the original bright case colors and the lever 90% original bright colors with smooth brownish gray on the bottom and inside of the loop. The wood is excellent with a few overall minor dings and dents. The markings remain clear and crisp. The action is very good.
