Produced in 1885. Fixed sights, with the two line Hartford address on top of the barrel, roll stamped "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER" marking on the left side and "44 CF" on the trigger guard. The rear cylinder face is marked "P", "1" on the loading gate and "53" on the left side of the butt. Grips are smooth bird's head mother of pearl, with a lanyard swivel on the butt.

Rating Definition:

Very good as partially period refinished (barrel and ejector rod housing), which shows a few patches of gray and brown patina, minor handling marks and a few dents beneath the surface. The remainder of the pistol shows 30% of the original finish, mixed with a brown and gray patina, bright edge wear and some pitting. Strong niter blue is visible on the hammer and trigger. Grips are fine, with some light chips along the edges and a crack visible on the left panel. Mechanically fine.
