Winchester Model 71 Deluxe Rifle manufactured in 1936. The rifle has a 1/2 length magazine. The barrel is fitted with a hooded ramp front sight with a filler block in the rear sight notch and a rare bolt mounted peep sight. The two line Winchester legend is roll-stamped on the right side of the barrel below the rear sight filler block. The left side of the barrel is roll-stamped with "Proof Steel" markings, model designation, the Winchester trademark and the caliber. Oval Winchester proof marks are stamped on the top of the barrel and the receiver. The serial number, "12021" is located on the forward edge of the receiver bottom. Mounted with a checkered, semi-beavertail forearm and checkered pistol grip stock. The stock features a black, hard rubber pistol grip cap embossed with the Winchester logo and a checkered steel buttplate. Complete with a brown leather sling.

Very fine. The barrel retains 95% of the original blue finish with a few scratches and nicks overall. The fame shows 85% of the original blue with moderate edge wear, scratches and a smooth gray brown patina on the balance. The wood is very good with a minor chip on the left side of the stock and light handling marks overall. Mechanically excellent. Sling is excellent.
