Manufactured between 1933 and 1947 in the desirable 218 Bee caliber. Standard barrel markings with single factory proofs on the barrel and receiver. Hooded ramp front sight, rear sight removed with a Marble filler in the slot and a peep sight has been installed on top of the bolt. The receiver has been drilled and tapped on the left side. Custom checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with a checkered metal buttplate. Only about 5,700 of these rifles were produced.
Very good overall. The barrel retains approximately 80% original finish with smooth brownish gray patina on the muzzle end. The lever is a 50-50 mix of original finish and smooth gray patina. The receiver retains approximately 75% original finish with the bottom having mostly a smooth gray patina, thinning on the top and high edge wear. The wood is very good as refinished and custom checkered with a few minor dings in the forearm and a few minor nicks in the checkering. All markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
