Weyersburg Imperial German Officer's sword, 30-3/4" blade with makers mark on the right ricasso. The panel on the reverse of the blade is acid etched with "7. Sächs. Feldartillerie= Regiment No 77.". The obverse is etched with an image of a field gun with horse-drawn limber. The panels are flanked with elaborate scroll work. The sword has a plain, nickel silver, stirrup shaped knuckle bow, birds head pommel and down-turned quillion. The steel scabbard has a black enamel finish with single suspension ring.
