Excellent Stevens New Model Pocket Rifle No. 40 Single Shot Rifle with Matching Stock

Manufactured 1896 to 1916. The top of the barrel is marked "J. STEVENS A & T CO / CHICOPEE FALLS MASS. U.S.A." Globe front sight and adjustable folding leaf rear sight. Nickel finished frame, with remaining surfaces blue. Matching serial number on frame, barrel and barrel latch. Fitted with smooth walnut grips. Complete with nickel plated wire shoulder stock numbered to gun.

ConditionExcellent. The barrel retains 97% original blue finish with some very light spotting and some minor muzzle wear. The frame retains over 95% frosted original nickel finish with loss mostly on the high edges and some speckled flaking. The grips are excellent with some minor dings and scratches. Missing frame mounted firing pin and partially missing hammer spur, otherwise action functions properly. The stock retains 97% frosted original nickel finish with light flaking.
