Manufactured in 1920. The left side of the slide is marked with the elongated two line address/patent dates and the right side is marked "COLT AUTOMATIC / CALIBRE .45" followed by the Rampant Colt. The right side of the frame is marked "GOVERNMENT MODEL" over the serial number. The upper left front of the trigger guard is marked with the letter "P" over the "VP" triangle proof and "29" on the opposite. Standard blade front and "U" notch rear sight, smooth trigger, checkered slide stop, thumb safety, magazine release and wide spur hammer, lanyard ring on the heel and unmarked two-tone magazine. Mounted with checkered walnut grips with diamond pattern around the screws. The accompanying factory letter verifies the serial number, caliber, barrel length, blue finish with grips "Not Listed" and that it was shipped to Sears Roebuck and Company, Chicago, Illinois on July 14, 1920 as 1 of 25. Complete with the original maroon hinged lid box numbered to the gun with correct end and inside lid labels and original manual.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The pistol retains 98% plus original high polished blue finish with some minor wear on the front of the slide and frame. The upper left side of the slide shows a few minor dings and scuffs. The grips are also excellent with only light handling marks and sharp checkering. Crisp and clear markings. Mechanically excellent. The box is good with a couple of repaired corners, some edge wear and a few minor dents.
