Description:

Mexican crest on top of forward slide, in proper location. (No factory letter available at this time, but appears genuine!) Produced in 1908, this pistol's serial number falls within the 600 pistol batch of Mexican Contract 1902s shipped to A. Combaluzier, Ministerio da Guerra & Marina in Mexico on February 27, 1908. Fixed sights, standard markings, round knurled hammer. Fitted with pearl grips and lanyard swivel, with a small crack on the right side with a large chip on the lower left side. One of the few military buyers of the 1902 pistol, the Mexican Contract would total approximately 800 Military Model pistols, supplemented with private purchases of the Sporting Model.

Rating Definition:

Fine with 30% original blue remaining, mostly on the sides of the frame. Slide has traces of blue, mostly in the protected areas. Grips are good with exception of a large piece absent on bottom right. Mechanically excellent.
