This shotgun features a single bead front sight on a solid rib with the left barrel marked "GSI Inc. T'ville AL / GERBR MERKEL SUHL / MADE IN GERMANY" and "Krupp Stahl" marked on the right barrel. The barrels have 3 inch chambers, chokes marked modified and improved cylinder with ejectors. The scalped box lock action features a deep relief scroll engraving with game bird scenes on the sides and the gunsmith figure over "SUHL" on the underside. The engraving extends to the blued trigger guard and break lever. The left side of the action is signed "GR" for master engraver Gunter Richter. Barrel selector on the single trigger, cocking indicators on the receiver, and tang mounted safety. Nicely figured checkered walnut forearm and straight grip stock. Stock has a factory plastic buttplate. Length of pull is 14 1/2 inches. Complete with a green pebble grain case lined with green felt and adorned with a leather Merkel label on the inside of the lid. Includes a pair of snap caps, two keys, 3-piece wooden cleaning rod, and oiler.

Excellent. The barrels retain 99% plus original blue finish with the slightest handling marks. The action has some minor discoloration (mostly on the underside). The wood is also excellent with a few minor pressure marks (mostly on the forearm) and sharp checkering. With the exception of the snap cap holder coming loose and being glued back on, the case is excellent.
