Colt Model 1905 45 ACP Semi-Automatic Pistol with Unique Belt Hook Device

Manufactured in 1906. The right side of the slide is marked "AUTOMATIC COLT / CALIBRE 45 RIMLESS SMOKELESS" ahead of the ejection port. The left side of the slide is marked with the two line, two block address and patent dates (1897-1905), with the circled Rampant Colt behind the serrations. The upper left trigger guard bow bears the Colt "VP" triangle proof and the lower is marked with the number "1". A metal belt clip has been mounted to the right side of the slide. Flitted with checkered grips with the diamond pattern around the screws.

ConditionFine. The pistol retains 40% original blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. There is some minor pitting on the right side of slide that extends to the frame near the muzzle, with some minor spotting (mostly on the slide). A crude lanyard stud has been added to the magazine. The grips are very good with some minor handling marks and a couple areas of minor wear in checkering. Mechanically excellent.
