Manufactured in 1916. This pistol has the square butt, slide lock on the left side of the slide, lanyard swivel and eight-round magazine. Features rear slide serrations, barrel polished at the chamber and muzzle and unmarked blue magazine. Left side of the slide is roll stamped with the standard two block, two line patent dates and Hartford address, with the Rampant Colt behind the serrations. Standard two line caliber markings on the right side of the slide. The left side of the trigger guard bow is stamped with a "1" assembler's mark on the lower rear and the Colt "VP/triangle" proofmark on the front top. Fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with "COLT" in a banner at the top and the Rampant Colt in a circle in the center.
