Hooded blade and tangent sights, with "eagle/ 26" proofs on the barrel and receiver ring, "36" partially covered by the stock, and "243/ 1939" on top of the ring. Matching numbers and milled components. Smooth stock, with "eagle/ H" Heer stamp and flat buttplate. With a brown leather sling and a winter trigger, stamped "S/ Mod.98" on the right side.

Excellent, with 97% of the original blue finish, showing streaks of brown and gray patina on the barrel and scattered light spotting and handling marks. A hairline crack runs the length of the upper handguard, otherwise the stock is very fine, with scattered dings and scratches, most noticable between the barrel bands. Sling is excellent, with scuffing from the hardware. Mechanically excellent.
