Produced in Thuringen in 1945. Hooded blade front and tangent rear sights, with an "eagle/ 37" proof on the barrel and "eagle/ 749" on the receiver ring above the "bcd" marking. Matching bolt numbers, with stamped components and "qnw" stamped on the floor plate. Smooth stock, with a Heer stamp and a cupped buttplate. With a crosshatched brown leather sling and a "42asw" (Horster, Solingen) bayonet with 10" blade, smooth grips and matching numbered sheath.

Excellent, with 98% of the original phosphate finish, showing areas of brown patina and mild handling marks. Stock is fine as lightly sanded and reoiled, with some light scuffs and dents. Sling is good with scuffs and cracks, and the bayonet is excellent, with some bright wear. Mechanically excellent.
