Made in Budapest for use by the Nazis as a substitute rifle. Blade and tangent sights, with "eagle/ 56" proofs on the barrel and receiver ring. Matching numbers. Smooth stock, with "56" stamps, matching number and a flat buttplate. With a "43asw" (Horster, Solingen) bayonet with 10" blade, ribbed plastic grips and metal sheath.

Fine, with 40% of the original blue finish, showing a mixed gray patina on several parts, along with spotting and handling marks. Stock is also fine, with a number of pressure dents and scratches. Bayonet is excellent, with some bright wear. Mechanically excellent.
