Pickelhaub Helmet

Located in Southern Germany, the Kingdom of Wurttenberg was established in 1806 with the fall of the Holy Roman Empire, became The Free People's State of Wurttenberg in 1918, was split by the U.S. and French Occupation Zones into Württemberg-Baden and Württemberg-Hohenzollern, and in 1952 was merged to become Baden-Württemberg. Black leather construction, with a brass vent spike on top, brass trip on the visors, brass scale fronted leather chinstrap and the brass Wurttenberg coat of arms on the front. The undersides of the visors are green and red leather, with a set of brown leather webbing and a white leather pad around the vent hole.

ConditionVery good, with some light handling marks and scuffs on the leather, fine aged patina on the brass, and some flattening of the coat of arms. Consignor notes that body maybe a reproduction, but still presents well.
