Two Swords: 1) Unknown US Model 1840 Cavalry style sword with scabbard. No apparent markings on the blade or the ricassos. OAL: 40 3/4" with a 35" blade. 2) US C. Roby Model 1840 Non-Commissioned Officer Sword. "U.S./1863/F.S.S." marked on the right ricasso and "C. ROBY/W. HELMSFORD, MS." in a circle on the left. "S" and "F.S.S" stamped into the knuckle guard. OAL: 38 1/4" with a 31 3/4" blade.

1) Good overall with cleaning/sharpening evidence, spotting throughout. Grip flaking and wire wrap loose. 2) Fair as refinished, cleaning evidence, spotting/pitting throughout, and scattered dings on the blade edge.
