The included factory letter confirms all the features except the magazine has been replaced from a half length to a full length magazine. According to the letter this rifle was received into the warehouse on May 21st, 1883 and shipped out the next day, on order number 4406. The slightly shortened barrel has been sleeved.

Very good overall with strong traces of original finish on the barrel and receiver, some pitting, magazine tube retains nearly all refinished blue and has a replacement cap. Wood has scratches and dings. Mechanically excellent.
