The included factory letter confirms the current configuration, aside from the retailer completed inscription, when the revolver shipped to J. W. Storrs Co. of New York, NY, on August 6th, 1861. The back strap is inscribed "J. N. Tracy New Britain, Ct. 1st. Regt.".

Rating Definition:

Very good, reapplied finish on the barrel and cylinder, original silver plating, some flaking and edge wear, minor pitting, and crisp inscription. Mechanically functions.
