Bore Condition: The bore is darkened with visible rifling and frosting/oxidation.
Description:

The lock is marked with "1861/TOWER" and St. Edward's Crown. British companies exported rifles for use by both the Confederacy and the Union during the American Civil War. In fact, the Pattern 1853 "Enfield" is said to be the second most widely used rifle of the war. Stock features a Bentley & Playfair circular marking the left side. Ram rod absent.

Rating Definition:

Fair overall with brown patina throughout, moderate wear, and pitting around the nipple. Stock has been sanded and the rear sling mount is absent. Mechanically functions.
